This crest badge is an obvious sign of this bag. A low quality badge can be spotted right away. The replica crest is made of yellow-tone plastic with poor-made cut.
I was asked how close these replica look like authentic bags.
Usually a real bag differs from a fake bag in two aspects: the leather and the hardware. The authentic leather is usually sourced in Italy - the country of the greatest leather. No matter how authentic a replica looks like, the feel on leather is definitely less divine than that on a real bag.
If you forget the feel, the leather on these Indy bags do look like the authentic leather.
I did a research on Louis Vuitton bags before. I found the most obvious difference between a fake LV and a real LV is its hardware. The hardware on authentic LV is so polished, with a tint of polishness. I can spot a fake LV by just looking at its hardware.
What amazed me is this Gucci Indy’s hardware. The hardware on a fake Indy bag looks so polished, it is just as polished as that from a real bag!

A real Indy bag will have uneven painted trim too as long as it is done by hands. But there will be less error than you can expect from a fake - this is called price gap!
There are two sizes for Gucci Indy Bags
Gucci indy pure leather with metal corners (like the 2nd one above, the one Eva Longoria carried) has the softest leather. It has the soft and smooth leather. The Indy with GG engraved corner has the textured leather. This leather is thicker, soft (but less soft than the smooth leather on Indy with metal corners) however more durable. Indy in metallic color such as silver (like the one Melody Thornton carried) has the more stiff leather than normal color such as tan, black, dark brown, etc. But it looks chic.
Here is a Indy with stamped corners. The leather looks superior: distressed and soft. I prefer this textured leather to the smooth leather from a metal corner Indy.
