One of my friends bought a Givenchy nightingale bag from US ONLINE. It costs $300. It doesn’t take a genius to know it is a fake. But my friend is actually quite happy about its quality - very soft leather is the point.

The other friend of mine bought one from Harrods, which costs her near £800, which is $1600.

The $300 one has the creamy cloth lining and the $1600 one has the black cloth lining. Does creamy lining means fake?

NO! The light golden hardware nightingale has the black cloth lining while the gunmetal hardware nightingale has the creamy lining.

Have a look at Nicole Richie’s bag here. She didn’t zip the bag. The black cloth lining was disclosed. And her bag has light golden hardware.

Now take a look at Ashley’s bag. here is a close up of her bag. You can have a peek at the lining right under her arm. It is creamy! And her bag is gunmetal nightingale!

Here is Reeze Witherspoon with her medium size gunmetal nightingale with creamy lining - can you see the llining from the photo? I wonder why nobody bother zipping the bag. There is one simple answer: there is no need to do it.

I compared two bags in front of me: fake and real. The real bag is much lighter in weight!!!

The real bag is made of very thin distressed leather - I think that is lambskin. The bag is very light and the leather is buttery soft!

The fake golden hardware bag is also made of thin soft leather, but the leather is not distressed. From its grainy-pattern you can tell it is cowhide, but it is thin soft cowhide.

The fake gunmetal hardware bag is made of THICK soft leather. This leather is much thicker than the leather from a fake golden hardware bag. It is strange, isn’t it? My sources told me these bags were made in different factories, which made their leather diffferent.

I can say these replica bags are 98% mirror image bags from the photos because you cannot feel the leather or lift the bag. That 2% difference goes to the grainy-look leather. If you know leather, you can see it’s grainy leather and it is cowhide.
