Does the fake look like the authentic? I don’t have that kind of money to own a real croc birkin. But it doesn’t take a genius to figure it out their difference: real croc is one layer of croc skin and real leather with croc pattern is two layer: leather and croc pattern! The real croc bag should be more soft than a leather with croc pattern bag.

A fake is listed at 1/40 of an authentic one’s value. Is it worth the money? You decide it!

Gucci Indy Bag

There are two sizes for Gucci Indy Bags

Gucci indy pure leather with metal corners (like the 2nd one above, the one Eva Longoria carried) has the softest leather. It has the soft and smooth leather. The Indy with GG engraved corner has the textured leather. This leather is thicker, soft (but less soft than the smooth leather on Indy with metal corners) however more durable. Indy in metallic color such as silver (like the one Melody Thornton carried) has the more stiff leather than normal color such as tan, black, dark brown, etc. But it looks chic.

Here is a Indy with stamped corners. The leather looks superior: distressed and soft. I prefer this textured leather to the smooth leather from a metal corner Indy.

Chanel Timeless Clutch

This timeless clutch from Chanel has been seen from Ashley Oslen, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham, etc. The shape of this clutch is quite special, it looks like a Chinese dumpling - yummy!

I checked out all the replica Chanel timeless clutches and found they are made of 3 different kinds of leather: grainy-look cowhide (this is the poorest fake), patent and smooth lambskin.

This is a replica patent clutch. Somehow it looks too shiny. But I think this is the closest one to the authentic.

This is a fake smooth lambskin clutch. It looks like the one Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton carried, doesn’t it? Check out the crease near the top of the clutch. It tells you this lambskin is very easy to get creased - because this is a stock photo!

From my point of view, this is the worst one. I know all Chanel bags have both caviar cowhide and smooth lambskin. But this fake cowhide clutch looks too grainy!
